Been thinking again. About first-order, second-order and third-order thinking. It appears that the better we can become at accepting first-order, and even second-order, negatives for the benefit of third-order positives - the better we will be at creating positive impact.

What this means is essentially that if you are not prepared to look beyond first- and second-order positives, there is a much higher risk of making things that contribute to harm in the world.
