    clartem Yes, but what I mean is: there is space on the iPad to rotate the vertical interface into the landscape area of the iPad. Why not use all that black space?

      clartem This is a painful way to use Instagram on the iPad, when there is clearly space to just flip the vertical iPhone canvas within the constraints of the iPad canvas.
