Yes, the algorithm-free experience is Mastodon. It's absolutely mindblowing how different my mind, body and emotions are in check when active there rather than here. I know there are huge obstacles to entry (usability-wise) but I'm really hoping I can contribute to improve that.Permalink On twitter.com

To be clear: I'm also not naive. It's a system where people talk to each other and sometimes anonymously. There will be trashfires. Tip: choose a small instance or run your own. Avoid large ones that naturally carry more noise. At least trashfires aren't algorithmically rewarded.On twitter.com
