This is significant. Websites that embed Facebook’s Like Button must seek users’ consent to transfer their personal data to the US social network. Note, if you embed a YouTube video that plays inside your website, data from your visitors is transferred to Google. I am in the process of hiding video embeds in my blog, to only be displayed upon user request (consent) after they understand the data collection (informed).Permalink On twitter.com
