    1. While it's pretty much impossible to remove Amazon from your life, does anyone have experience with competing e-book readers - like the Nook or Kobo variants?

    Although I am wary of the Nook after this weird misstep in 2012: they replaced all occurences of the word Kindle with Nook in their e-books. So in War and Peace they don't kindle fires, they nook(!) them. huffpost.com/entry/war-and-peace-nook-kindle_n_1578547
