Accepting others for who they are is not about empowering them, it's about empowering you. If you can provide a safe space for people you previously met with prejudice, that's you empowered. Like any power, it requires regular training.

The rewards are immense. I am far from perfect in this area, but I practice regularly through coaching. Attending a coaching program (in my case an ICF-accredited education) is one of my best career decisions, impacting all aspects of life.
