  1. When you keep trying to redesign the toilet sign to make it more inclusive, sooner or later you realize that we are actually looking for a toilet, not a diverse set of people 🤦‍♂️. So how about a toilet with an arrow, and anybody who needs to use it, follow the arrow!

To be more inclusive, let's not draw pictures of as many different people as possible. We let people decide if the facilities will work for them. This includes stalls, handrails, size, urinals, type of dryer. Also, things like if there's music and care to avoid perfumes.

By focusing on explaining the facilities we are creating more awareness of the differences between toilets, not people, and providing autonomy for anyone to avoid and/or prepare before making use of the restroom - regardless of who they are.

In the end I'm sure most people can think of things that would help them decide whether or not they would like to visit a public restroom.
