One of my biggest beefs with the Swedish language is the lack of words to differentiate between efficient and effective. Both these are regularly translated using the single word "effektiv". Thus making it hard to differentiate "doing things right" and "doing the right thing".On twitter.com

The importance of this distinction truly illustrates how language can be a barrier to advancement. And boy, does language stand in the way of equality, but that's another story. (yes, word choice intended to exemplify said point)Permalink On twitter.com
