jmspool Not only that, in this context you’d be able to check off that step if everyone on the team verbally agrees that they empathize with ”users”. It does not encourage research. ”Empathy” as such can be very misleading because you can never be certain it’s something you have.

jmspool That’s why I talk about ”impact assessment” - because it’s more helpful to actually find out if you are harming people, than it is for you to build up a, often illusory, feeling of understanding how other people behave and feel in different contexts.
